Erasmus+ - Am BG/BRG Judenburg geht es wieder rund!

Nach zwei Jahren Corona-Pause und vielen Verschiebungen und Online-Meetings entschied das BG/BRG Judenburg vom 26. März bis 2 April 2022 einen SchülerInnenaustausch mit den Erasmus+ Projektpartnern aus Dänemark und Spanien durchzuführen. Das zur Gänze von der EU finanzierte Projekt „Let’s Challenge the Future – Approaching new Horizons to Create a Sustainable Europe“ hat zum Ziel, Aktivitäten für SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen zum Thema „Nachhaltgkeit“ zu organisieren und Jugendlich für ein nachhaltiges Leben zu sensibilisieren.

Die Vorbereitungsarbeiten gestalteten sich aufgrund der Corona-Lage als sehr herausfordernd, dennoch konnte das Erasmus+ Koordinationsteam Mag.^aIlse Prenn und Mag. Bernd Fiechtl gemeinsam mit den KollegInnen des BG/BRG Judenburg ein umfangreiches und interessantes Rahmenprogramm zum Thema „Nachhaltigkeit“ zusammenstellen.

Wir sind und leben Europa - Das BG/BRG Judenburg ist EU-Botschafterschule!

Am 1. April 2022 wurden VertreterInnen des BG/BRG Judenburg in das Haus der Europäischen Union in Wien zur Auszeichnung und feierlichen Übergabe der Zertifikate eingeladen. Die Zertifikate wurden von den EU-Schulkoordinatoren Mag^a. Ilse Prenn und Mag. Bernd Fiechtl von den Vizepräsidenten des EU-Parlaments Otmar Karas und Evelyn Regner übernommen. Der Bildungsminister Martin Polaschek wurde per Videobotschaft zur Veranstaltung zugeschalten.

Tag des Gymnasiums: Beitrag auf Kanal 3

Das BG/BRG Judenburg setzt wieder neue Akzente im Bereich der Internationalität. Die Erasmus+ Expert*innen Mag.a Ilse Prenn und Mag. Bernd Fiechtl koordinieren diese Entwicklung seit vielen Jahren. Besonders für die Schüler*innen der Oberstufe ergeben sich dadurch immer neue Möglichkeiten, vom Netzwerk und den zahlreichen Projekten der Schule zu profitieren und internationale Erfahrungen zu machen.

Class 5c goes Euroscola!

On the 26^th November the 5C took part in the Euroscola meeting. Sadly enough, this event only took place in an online conference, but it was still interesting to see the EU politicians talk about climate change and the environment.

After a short introduction to the European Union and its Parliament, students all over Europe were able to follow the Vice-President of the European Parliament and ask him questions concerning the topic.

In the following innovation labs based on the topic of “Climate change and the environment: how can we live in harmony with nature?” took place. Mr. Giacomo Fassina, member of the Secretariat of the committee of the Environment, Public Health and Food of the European Parliament expressed his and the EU’s opinion on the topics

1.) Using resources efficiently for a circular economy

2.) Restoring biodiversity and cutting pollution

3.) Creating a global coalition to halt and reverse global warming.

Finally, European students were encouraged to formulate claims and present them via chat or live video chat.

The event was closed by remarks by the Director General for Communication and the Spokesperson the European Parliament, Mr. Jaume Duch Guillot.

The visit of the online Euroscola event was very interesting. It for sure would have been better if we could have been in Strasbourg for real but we’re still glad we had the chance to attend the event over an online conference.

Unsere Schule nutzt den Europäischen Sozial Fonds

Im letzten Schuljahr hat das Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung eine Projektfördermaßnahme unter dem Namen “ESF/REACT - Unterrichtsbezogene Förderangebote im Schuljahr 2021/22“ ausgeschrieben. Das BG/BRG Judenburg hat sich erfolgreich um diese Fördermittel des Europäischen Sozial Fonds beworben, die zur Gänze von der Europäischen Union getragen wird.

EU-Crashcourse: European Youth Parlament Austria

Students from the 6th grades of the BG/BRG Judenburg have participated on the 23rd/24th February in the EU-Crashcourse. The workshop was held by two representatives of the European Youthparliament in Vienna and it lasted from 2,5 hours.

Contents and Structure of the Crash Course:

- Introduction: participants presented each other and were introduced to the Crash Course.

- Europe in 4 corners: interactive activity where participants were asked about theiropinions on different matters regarding the EU.

- Workshops: the presentation of the workshops 1 . Each participant had to choose

one among the two that was proposed during the crash course.Thegroups were equally distributed so that they insight about what was being presented in both groups. Before initiating and after the workshops, 2 breaks of maximum 5 minutes each took place.

- Presentation of the workshops: the participants were asked to present what they

had learnt in the workshops.

- Discussion: participants were asked to write down questions regarding the EU and shared their opinions about different matters.

- Closing: this was the moment when the presenters wraped up and when students were asked to provide some feedback.

Das BG/BRG Judenburg veranstaltete am 29. Jänner 2021 eine Informationsveranstaltung zur Präsentation der Oberstufe. In diesem Rahmen wurden auch die zahlreichen Erasmus+, EU und internationale Projekte präsentiert.

Regional Learning Event - Presentation of EU Activities at the BG/BRG Judenburg

Am 11. Dezember 2020 fand das Regional Learning Event im Advent via Zoom statt. Bei der dreistündigen Nachmittagsveranstaltung durfte der Verein Europa und Bildung sowie das Servicereferart EU/Internationalisierung der Bildungsdirektion Steiermark fast 50 Teilnehmer*innen begrüßen. Im Kreis der Interessenten fanden sich Personen aus neun Volksschulen, zehn BMHS, elf AHS, fünf Mittelschulen, zwei Musikschulen, einer Berufsschule sowie aus der Schulaufsicht und aus außerschulischen Bildungseinrichten; diese spiegelten das bunte Bild des Bildungsbereiches wider.

Bei dieser Veranstaltung berichtete die EU Schulkoordinatoren Mag. Bernd Fiechtl und Mag. Ilse Prenn über EU Projekte und Aktivitäten im BG/BRG Judenburg.

Dissemination: Kanal 3 - Lokalfernsehen

Alljährlich wird der Tag des Gymnasiums im November gefeiert. Aus diesem Anlass erhielt unsere Schulleiterin eine Einladung zum Interview der Woche bei Kanal 3. Gemeinsam mit unserem Schulsprecher Martin Messner beantwortete sie Fragen zur AHS, zu ihrer Rückkehr an das BG/BRG Judenburg und legte auch dar, welche Schwerpunkte und Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten sie für unsere Schule sieht.

Ab Donnerstag, 19.11.2020, ist das BG/BRG Judenburg wieder auf Kanal3 zu sehen. In dieser Woche wird über die neue Glasfaseranbindung der Schule und die symbolische Modemübergabe durch Dietmar Leitner, Ainet GmbH, berichtet.

Open House for 2nd Graders and their parents

Parents were invited for an information evening in order to gather information about the possibilities the BG/BRG Judenburg offers in relation to the choice of subjects and sports courses in the 3rd and 4th grades.

As the topic "Smart phones at school" is a current highly discussed topic at the BG/BRG Judenburg a group of students from the 6th grade were invited to give a presentation about the use of smart phones at school and also about the sustainability and the impact of smartphones on the environment and on teenagers.

Open House at the BG/BRG Judenburg 27th November 2019

The BG/BRG Judenburg offered all teenagers at aged up to 14 the possibility to get information about the offer of subjects, workshops, activities, travels and project the school provides in higher grades.

The Erasmus+ Team also had the opportunity to present the project at this occasion. Four motivated students (Leonie Gruber, Marco Bernhauser, Nico Kohlweg and Andreas Arlitzer) participated voluntarily to present the current project to their visitors. They also explained the importance of international network, students exchanges and the democratic participation at a European level.
